1. Where Curiosity Connects Children to Their Community
Located within the Kent Heights neighbourhood in Kallang/Whampoa, E-Bridge Pre-School Kent Heights offers children opportunities to learn through inquiry, exploration and meaningful experiences inspired by the world around them.
Guided by our Reggio Emilia-inspired approach, children are encouraged to ask questions, investigate ideas and make connections with their surroundings. With the support of our educators, they develop their curiosity, creativity and confidence as they explore new concepts, share their thinking and learn alongside others.
As children grow and discover more about the world around them, everyday experiences become opportunities to develop new perspectives, build relationships and nurture a lifelong love for learning.
2. Learning Through Exploration and Discovery
At E-Bridge Pre-School Kent Heights, learning begins with children’s curiosity and the questions they ask about the world around them.
Through guided inquiry and open-ended learning experiences, children are encouraged to explore different materials, test their ideas and discover new possibilities. Whether they are investigating how things work, expressing their thoughts through art or working together to solve a problem, each experience offers opportunities to develop their understanding and communicate their ideas.
Our educators observe children’s interests and build on their questions, supporting them as they make connections, explore different perspectives and develop confidence in their own thinking.
3. Connecting Learning with Nature and the Environment
Nature offers children countless opportunities to observe, question and discover.
Through meaningful encounters with the natural world, children can investigate changes in their environment, notice patterns and develop an understanding of how living things grow and interact. These experiences nurture curiosity, encourage careful observation and help children develop an appreciation for the environment.
As children explore their surroundings, educators support them in asking questions, sharing their discoveries and considering how their everyday choices can contribute to caring for the world around them.
4. Learning Spaces That Inspire Possibilities
The learning environment plays an important role in shaping children’s experiences, inviting them to explore, create and express their ideas in different ways.
At E-Bridge Pre-School Kent Heights, learning spaces support opportunities for investigation, creative expression and collaboration. Through access to a variety of materials and resources, children can develop their ideas, revisit their discoveries and work with others to explore new possibilities.
Educators support this process by responding to children’s interests and providing opportunities for them to represent their thinking, exchange perspectives and build on their learning over time.
Together, these experiences nurture independence, confidence and a sense of belonging within the centre community.
5. A Neighbourhood That Brings Families Together
Situated along Owen Road in Kallang/Whampoa, Kent Heights is part of an established urban neighbourhood where residential living and community amenities come together.

Learning Stories
Learning Story: Mark-Making with String and Paint
In this experience, the children explored mark-making using string and paint in primary colours. They began by feeling the texture of the string—bending, twisting, and manipulating it with curiosity. Guided by questions like “How does it feel?” and “What can we do with the string?”, the children shared their thoughts and ideas.
Next, they turned their attention to the paint. With A4 paper and a piece of string, each child dipped one end into the paint and began experimenting. Some dragged the string across the paper, others dotted or twisted it, while a few gently tapped only the painted tip onto the surface.
This hands-on exploration allowed the children to experiment through trial and error, discovering how different motions created different effects. They chose their own colours and techniques, expressing themselves freely while developing fine motor skills and a foundational understanding of colour and artistic expression.
