Update on Recent Gastroenteritis Cases Across Centres
We would like to share an update regarding cases of children with symptoms consistent with gastroenteritis reported at some of our centres.
At present, the cause of the cases remains unconfirmed, and investigations by the relevant authorities are currently underway.
We are working closely with the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) and the relevant authorities to support ongoing investigations.
To safeguard the well-being of our children and staff, we continue to uphold strict hygiene and health practices in line with regulatory requirements.
These include:
- Isolation of affected classes from all combined activities for seven days from the last reported case
- Enhanced cleaning and daily sanitisation of classrooms, toys, and common areas
- Daily disinfection of high-touch surfaces such as table tops and door handles
- Frequent handwashing routines for all staff and children
- Temperature checks conducted at least three times daily
- Professional deep cleaning across all affected centres
The health and well-being of our children, families, and staff remain our top priority. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as needed.
We understand that parents may have questions or feedback. Our centre leaders and HQ team remain available to provide support and address any concerns directly. Families may also contact us at [email protected]
We appreciate the continued trust and cooperation of our families as we work together to maintain a safe, healthy, and caring environment for every child.

Our Commitment to Health and Safety
We would like to share an update regarding recent cases of gastroenteritis reported at some of our E-Bridge centres.
Preliminary findings have identified norovirus as the likely cause. This is a common and self-limiting virus that spreads easily from person to person, and importantly, there is no link to the food served at E-Bridge centres.
At our Plantation Crescent centre, all affected individuals have recovered and returned to school, and there are no active cases. The situation has remained stable and under control since early October.
Across other centres, the number of cases remains low relative to our total enrolment, and most children recover quickly.
- Health checks conducted at least three times daily
- Professional deep cleaning across all centres
Such viral illnesses are not unique to E-Bridge and tend to be more common in preschools and community settings during this season.
4 October 2025
We are aware of online comments regarding recent media reports on gastroenteritis cases at E-Bridge Pre-School Dawson, Sengkang Square and Circuit Road centres.
We wish to clarify that all meals at these three centres are prepared in separate kitchens. There is no central kitchen serving the centres, and there is currently no evidence that the cases are linked to our food.
Preliminary findings from authorities indicate that the likely cause is norovirus, a virus that can spread from person-to-person and cause gastroenteritis illness.
Our centres have all undergone thorough professional deep cleaning and disinfection, with additional precautionary measures in place. These measures include
- No crossover of staff or children between classes and centres
- Hourly disinfection of high-touch areas
- Disinfection of toilet and shower areas after every use
- Reinforcement of regular handwashing routines for staff and children
Most children and staff have recovered, and the remaining are recovering well. Our educators have continued to stay in touch with parents of affected children to check on their well-being.
For children who are unwell, we encourage all families to keep children at home until they have been symptom-free for at least 24 hours, even if their medical certificate has expired, to reduce the risk of spreading the illness.
We appreciate the support of our families in reinforcing hygiene practices like proper handwashing at home, so children can carry these habits into their preschool routine.
We thank all parents for their continued support as we work together to prevent gastroenteritis. We remain fully committed to providing a safe and healthy environment and look forward to welcoming our children and staff back to our preschools.
